This role plays a critical part in safeguarding health, safety, security, environmental, and quality standards across our operations, while supporting operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Your Challenge…

  • Lead, implement, maintain, and continually improve the Company’s Health, Safety, Security, Environmental, and Quality (HSSEQ) Management Systems, in line with Group policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable legal requirements, client contractual obligations, and ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
  • Support Management in defining roles, responsibilities, and accountability for HSSEQ across country operations.
  • Monitor HSSEQ performance objectives and ensure effective tracking, reporting, and continual improvement through the Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) system.
  • Develop, review, and maintain HSSEQ risk registers, ensuring they remain suitable, sufficient, and up to date.
  • Lead incident and accident reporting processes, support investigations, and provide trend analysis to drive positive safety culture and behaviours.
  • Implement, test, and review Emergency Response Plans and Business Continuity Plans.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute internal audits, inspections, and compliance monitoring, providing assurance to both Company and Client Management.
  • Ensure the effective implementation and use of the Company’s online EHS management system, including user compliance and data integrity.
  • Support training and awareness initiatives to ensure staff understand HSSEQ standards and their relevance to business objectives.
  • Act as a key member of the local management team, working closely with site supervisors and client HSSEQ representatives.
  • Capture and analyse client feedback related to HSSEQ performance and report findings to Management.
  • Provide support to the Country Manager and the Chief HSSEQ Officer for any other requests.

Who Are You…

  • A proven HSSEQ professional with at least 5 years’ experience in a managerial or senior HSSEQ role.
  • Holder of a tertiary-level qualification in Health & Safety, Environmental Management, Quality, or a related discipline.
  • NEBOSH IGC (or equivalent) is essential; additional certifications such as IEMA or Internal Auditor qualification are highly desirable.
  • Solid knowledge of HSSEQ legislation, international standards, and industry best practice, ideally within Oil & Gas, logistics, marine, or heavy industry environments.
  • Experienced in implementing, maintaining, and auditing integrated HSSEQ management systems.
  • Confident in incident investigation, root cause analysis, and performance reporting.
  • A strong communicator with excellent stakeholder and client-management skills.
  • Highly organised, analytical, and able to work effectively under pressure.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, reporting tools) and web-based systems.A role model for safety leadership, integrity, and continuous improvement.
