Your Challenge

As an Infrastructure & Support Lead you will be leading a small, dedicated support team, combining technical expertise, strategic planning, and hands-on leadership—perfect for someone who thrives on mentoring others, solving complex challenges, and driving innovation.

Key Responsibilities:Infrastructure Management

  • Design, implement, and maintain IT infrastructure to ensure reliability, scalability, and performance.
  • Manage IT procurement processes, ensuring timely sourcing of consumables, hardware, and equipment to meet organizational needs.
  • Oversee virtualized environments (e.g., AVD) and cloud-based solutions such as Office365.
  • Manage Entra ID, Intune, Malwarebytes, and other domain services.
  • Supervise server backups and disaster recovery planning.
  • Monitor and optimize network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, and Wi-Fi access points.
  • Ensure uptime and connectivity for CCTV, access control, and punch clock systems.

 

System Administration

  • Perform regular system upgrades and maintenance to ensure optimal functionality and security compliance.
  • Troubleshoot complex hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors and contractors for specialized IT projects and support.
  • Manage databases (e.g., SQL Server) and applications like SharePoint.

Team Leadership & Support Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the IT Support team to deliver exceptional service and resolve user issues effectively.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and ensure the team stays updated with new technologies and best practices.
  • Manage escalated incidents and ensure resolution within SLA timeframes.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, clients, and external stakeholders to align IT strategies with business goals.

Strategic Initiatives

    • Assist in the development of the IT strategy, focusing on future-proofing infrastructure and system capabilities.
    • Drive automation and efficiency improvements in IT processes.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, including data protection and cybersecurity policies.

Who Are You

We’re looking for an experienced, forward-thinking professional with strong technical expertise and a hands-on approach to problem-solving and leadership.

Must-Haves:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in system administration.
  • Expertise in:
    • Office365 Applications
    • TCP/IP networking
    • Firewalls, switches, and routing technologies
  • A hands-on approach to troubleshooting.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Ability to handle difficult conversations, resolve conflicts, and maintain professionalism under pressure.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop, Entra ID, Intune.
  • Certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, CCNA, CISSP, ITIL.
  • Experience with SharePoint and SQL Server.
  • Knowledge of IT project management methodologies.
