We are seeking a proactive and driven professional to provide operational and commercial management support to the Libya Country Manager.

 

Your Challenge

  • Business & Commercial Support
    • Support and advise the Libya Country Manager on all business and commercial activities, including;
      • Contract negotiation, interpretation, and pricing
      • Invoicing and receivables management
      • Budgeting and variance analysis from a service delivery perspective
      • Ensuring adequate insurance coverage for Libyan operations
      • Contributing to business development initiatives
  • Operational & Risk Management
    • Support the Country Manager in all aspects of operational risk management, including;
      • Conducting operational risk assessments and implementing mitigation strategies
      • Overseeing lifting operations and safety compliance
      • Managing competency and training programs for operational personnel
  • Oversee and support vendor and service management, including:
    • Contracting and due diligence for new and existing vendors
    • Internal audits of operations and ensuring operational readiness
    • Ensuring all personnel are trained, competent, and compliant
  • Client & Stakeholder Relations
    • Support the Country Manager in maintaining strong client relationships, including:
      • Managing accounts receivable follow-up and client feedback.
      • Addressing client complaints effectively and professionally.
      • Preparing and submitting regular operational and performance reports.
  • General & Administrative Support
    • Promote HSSEQ leadership across all MedservRegis operations, ensuring a culture of safety and compliance among staff, contractors, and clients.
    • Prepare internal reports and communications, ensuring clear information flow across departments.
    • Drive process improvement and efficiency initiatives.
    • Assist in recruitment, onboarding, and performance review processes when required.
    • Uphold and promote ethical standards and company values in all interactions.
    • Adapt proactively to evolving business environments and manage change effectively.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the Libya Country Manager.

Who Are You

  • Experience & Education
    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, or Business Management, or a related field.
    • Demonstrated experience in logistics and/or operations management (minimum 5 years).
    • Strong understanding of logistics support requirements within the Oil & Gas industry.
    • HSSEQ leadership experience will be considered a valuable asset.
    • Business development experience is advantageous but not essential.
    • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
  • Essential Skills & Attributes
    • Holder of a valid and clean driving license, category B and have own means of transport due to office accessibility.
    • Proven experience managing tendering processes for major contract.
    • Strong ability to interpret and apply contract terms and conditions
    • Culturally intelligent and respectful in all client interactions
    • Solid understanding of oil & gas sector logistics requirements
    • Adept at navigating and thriving in multicultural environments
    • Excellent technical writing and documentation abilities
    • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills, with a collaborative mindset
    • Computer- and AI-literate, with a keen interest in leveraging digital tools for efficiency.
    • A flexible and reliable approach to work in a dynamic environment.

Location & Travel

The role is based in Malta and involves frequent travel to Libya, supporting on-the-ground operations and client engagements. A clean passport and the ability to travel regularly are essential.
