We are currently looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Technical Manager to join our dynamic team in Birżebbuġa, Malta. The ideal candidate is willing to help us improve our technical division, guiding technical projects, and allocating resources as necessary.

Your Challenge

• Directly Manage the technical team leader, Projects Coordinator (if any) and appointed personnel working on different projects. Together with Technical Team Leader oversee the Welders, Electricians, Mechanics, Painters and Blasters. Oversee personnel under the department which responsibilities include, but not limited to, work allocation, training, and problem resolution; evaluates performance and makes recommendations for personnel action; motivates employees to achieve peak productivity and performance
• Assume responsibility for safety and financial performance of the projects managed. Provide hands-on leadership to teams to ensure productivity, efficient use of materials & equipment, and contractual performance of the project and client satisfaction.
• Provide initial client contact to assess scope of work and resources required to successfully complete the project. Be the face of MedservRegis with the client.
• Responsible to come up with creative technical solutions that enable completion of a project successfully within time and budget with the resources available and maximise the operational result and profit.
• Responsible to oversee the maintenance work within the Malta base and offices including preventive maintenance. Ensure modifications and alterations to the facilities are planned and then progressed in a safe and controlled manner by established procedures.
  • Designing maintenance strategies, procedures and methods;
  • Carrying out routine scheduled maintenance work and responding to equipment faults;
  • Carrying out quality inspections on jobs;
  • Controlling maintenance tools, stores and equipment;
  • Ensuring there is continuous cover of the machinery and equipment in case of breakdowns.
  • Responsible for setting up proper preventive maintenance plans
• Writing maintenance strategies to help with installation and commissioning guidelines.
• Ensure modifications and alterations to the facilities are planned and then progressed in a safe and controlled manner by established procedures.
• Support with bid for local projects pre-qualification/ tenders.

Who Are You

• Experience & Education
• • Holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering or holder of a recognised Project Management qualification and/or Management field.
  • Holds five (5) years’ experience in similar position, especially within the field of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Knowledge of written and spoken Maltese & English language.

• Essential Skills & Attributes
  • Holder of a valid and clean driving license, category B and have own means of transport due to office accessibility.
  • Holder of a valid work permit issued by respective Maltese authorities.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet competing demands.
  • Must be accurate, precise, thorough and give attention to detail.
  • Good leadership skills and able to manage groups of people.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills and excellent team working skills with the ability to coordinate tasks with different Company divisions.
