We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Water truck Driver to join our dynamic team in Mozambique.
Your Challenge…
You will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery and spraying of water in support of dust suppression, road maintenance, and operational hygiene, in compliance with Mozambican road safety laws, site-specific policies, and HSSE regulations and:
- Operate the water bowser vehicle across site haul roads, access roads, and plant areas for dust suppression and watering as instructed.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and ensure the bowser tank, pump, hoses, and spray system are functioning properly.
- Fill and distribute water in a controlled manner to reduce dust in working areas, stockpiles, and roadways.
- Ensure accurate completion of driver logs, trip sheets, and water usage records in coordination with transport control.
- Refuel and refill bowser tanks as required, ensuring water use complies with environmental regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness of vehicle and report mechanical or system faults immediately.
- Follow all internal health and safety procedures, especially while driving in congested or hazardous areas of the site.
- Assist with basic maintenance and care of water spray systems or support equipment.
- Participate in toolbox talks, HSSE drills, and driver safety refresher courses.
Who Are You…
- Valid Mozambican Driver’s License suitable for heavy vehicle operation.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience operating tankers, water bowsers, or similar heavy vehicles on construction or industrial sites.
- Basic understanding of vehicle mechanical systems (pumps, valves, spray bars).
- Ability to read and complete logbooks in Portuguese or English.
- Physically fit to work in outdoor and dusty environments in remote areas.
- Experience in mining, oil & gas, or construction projects in Mozambique.
- Prior work under international contractors or joint ventures (JVs).
- Exposure to remote camp-based work and basic vehicle troubleshooting.
- Comply fully with Mozambican labour and road transport laws, including rest periods, speed limits, and cargo transport rules.
- Follow Company HSSE procedures, use PPE at all times, and participate in incident reporting and safety improvement actions.
