SAFETY FIRST: OPERATIONS PAUSED TO ADDRESS CONTAINER SAFETY ISSUE BEFORE RESUMING WORK SAFELY

A great example of our safety culture in practice occurred during a recent operation when work was temporarily halted after identifying a faulty security pin and a misaligned door on a 40ft open-top container.
The issue was immediately addressed the defective pin was replaced, and operations only resumed once the container’s structural integrity was confirmed. Taking the time to stop, assess, and correct the issue ensured that the task could continue safely and without risk to personnel or equipment.
Moments like this reinforce an important principle: if something doesn’t look right, stop and fix it before moving forward.
Well done to Nikos for prioritizing safety and following the correct procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
