We are currently looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented ACCOUNTS PAYABLE CLERK to join our dynamic team in Birżebbuġa, Malta. You will be responsible for processing invoices and payments, reconciling accounts and bank statements, and maintaining accurate financial records.  The role ensures compliance with company policies, timely vendor communication, and supports continuous improvement of accounts payable and cash handling processes.

Your Challenge…

  • Process incoming invoices and payments in compliance with company financial policies and procedures.
  • Verify, match, and record supplier invoices, purchase orders, and delivery receipts.
  • Prepare, initiate, and track payments (cheques, bank transfers, and electronic payments).
  • Reconcile accounts payable ledgers and vendor statements; investigate and resolve discrepancies.
  • Reconcile monthly bank statements to ensure accuracy and resolve any inconsistencies.
  • Manage cash transactions and handle cash payments securely and efficiently, maintaining proper documentation and internal controls.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date accounting records and supporting documentation for audits and reporting.
  • Generate regular reports detailing accounts payable status and cash balances.
  • Liaise with vendors and business units regarding payments and invoices; resolve inquiries promptly.
  • Assist in streamlining and improving the accounts payable and cash handling processes as required.

Who Are You…

  • Holder of an MQF 4 level of education with knowledge in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • 1–2 years of experience in accounting, accounts receivable, or a similar role is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Business Central and Microsoft Excel is preferred.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data entry and financial record-keeping.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Well organised, reliable, and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Holder of a valid Category B driving licence and own transport due to office accessibility.
  • Legally entitled to live and work in Malta without employer sponsorship.
