This is a critical role responsible for overseeing multi-site operations, ensuring maximum equipment performance, and driving safety, efficiency, and operational excellence across the business.
Your Challenge…
Oversee the maintenance, operation, and performance of a diverse fleet of heavy equipment, including mobile cranes (up to 200T), forklifts, manlifts, trucks, and support vehicles.
Drive fleet optimisation, ensuring effective scheduling, maintenance planning, and repairs to maximise uptime and meet operational targets.
Lead and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programmes, reducing downtime and improving equipment reliability.
Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards, promoting a strong safety culture across all operations.
Manage multi-site operations, ensuring consistent performance, coordination, and adherence to Company and client requirements.
Develop and control CAPEX and OPEX budgets related to fleet and equipment, ensuring cost efficiency and optimal resource utilisation.
Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships, ensuring service delivery meets contractual and operational expectations.
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of technicians and engineers, supporting capability building and knowledge transfer.
Oversee camp management, ensuring service providers deliver to required standards.
Monitor and report on key performance indicators, including equipment availability, maintenance performance, safety metrics, and budget adherence.
Provide regular operational and performance reports to senior management.
Who Are You…
A highly experienced professional with 10+ years’ experience in oil & gas, mining, logistics, or heavy industrial operations.
Strong technical expertise in heavy equipment maintenance and fleet management, including cranes, forklifts, trucks, and mobile plant.
Proven experience in managing large-scale, multi-site operations in remote or high-pressure environments.
Qualified with a Degree or Higher National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Heavy Equipment Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Plant Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent technical experience).
Demonstrated expertise in preventive and predictive maintenance, reliability engineering, and root cause analysis.
Strong financial acumen with experience managing CAPEX and OPEX budgets.
Familiar with HSE regulations, industry standards, and compliance frameworks within oil & gas, mining, or logistics sectors.
Proficient in CMMS systems and Microsoft Office tools.
A confident leader with strong team management, mentoring, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Analytical, hands-on, and solution-oriented, with the ability to perform under pressure and make decisive operational decisions.
Experience working within international contract environments is an advantage.
