We are seeking for a Senior Crane Technician with extensive experience in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and quality control of a diverse array of heavy lifting and earthmoving machinery, particularly Terex and Liebherr cranes, CAT forklifts and Genie manlifts.
Your Challenge…
Maintenance and Repairs:
- Perform advance maintenance and repairs on all mobile and stationary equipment, including cranes, forklifts, trucks, and other company vehicles/equipment.
- Conduct diagnostics and troubleshooting to identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, and technical issues with minimal supervision.
- Execute preventative and predictive maintenance schedules to ensure reliability and minimize downtime.
- Lead quality control analyses and failure analysis for all lifting machinery post-repair.
- Conduct PAT inspections and system calibrations for all electrical and hydraulic systems, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with international standards.
Technical Oversight:
- Interpret and apply technical diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and manuals to execute maintenance and repair tasks effectively.
- Assist in ordering replacement equipment, parts, and supplies to maintain inventory and support operations.
- Maintain accurate logs and records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
- Contribute to setting schedules for the proper utilization and maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
Inventory and Equipment Control:
- Monitor and manage inventory levels in coordination with the Workshop Supervisor Assistant and HSEQ Representative.
- Ensure all tools, equipment, and supplies are accounted for and maintained in good working condition.
- Manage and execute parts requisition for maintenance and repair processes.
Health, Safety, and Quality:
- Maintain safe working conditions and comply with Occupational Health & Safety Regulations.
- Adhere to company policies, including safety protocols and use of protective equipment.
- Support the management in preparation for ISO 9001 certification/re-certification.
Team Collaboration and Additional Duties:
- Collaborate with the integrated operations team to achieve workshop goals and implement continuous system improvements taking into consideration operational needs.
- Assist with training and sharing technical knowledge with colleagues to foster a learning environment.
- Perform additional duties as required by the company to meet organizational needs.
- Respond to emergency service calls and perform field repairs as required.
Who Are You…
- A High School Diploma or equivalent professional qualification in Mechanical, Electrical or related field.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience as an Electro-Mechanic Technician in a heavy equipment environment, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role.
- Proven experience working with heavy equipment (e.g., cranes, forklifts, trucks) is a must.
- Certification in automotive or heavy equipment maintenance and repair is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct and lead training sessions on electrical and mechanical system maintenance.
- Extensive experience in conducting failure analyses and quality control checks following equipment repair.
- Advanced knowledge of electrical and hydraulic system troubleshooting and calibration.
- Prior experience working internationally, particularly in challenging and diverse environments
